What do Physical Therapists do?
Physical Therapists and Therapy Assistants are licensed by the state of MN and governed by the MN Board of Physical Therapy. Physical Therapists are responsible for performing initial evaluations of patients using a systems approach to determine a patient’s reason for pain or limitation, then work to develop a plan of care for each individual based on their goals to return them to their highest level of function. Our therapist assistants and therapists work together to broaden the availability of care and share ideas and skills to provide patients with the highest level of treatment. We work to educate patients to independently manage their condition and prevent it from reoccurring or worsening.
Our Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants stay current with the latest treatment techniques and methodologies by attending continuing education routinely. We can be seen throughout the nursing home and hospital providing patient care, but most of the patient care we provide is to out-patients seen within the rehabilitation department. We are involved in patient discharge planning and participate in various meetings throughout the facility.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff
I would like to thank all our staff for the dedicated patient care they provide and for demonstrating to our community the hospital mission of “Our Specialty is You” every day!
Thank you also for your commitment to each other and the Rehab Department for everything you do each and every day that makes work fun and energizing!
