The Nutritional Services Department was completely remodeled in 2000 with much of the remodel being new construction. State of the art equipment was also purchased at that time such as a convection oven and walk-in freezer and refrigerator.
There are 10 dietary staff who serve an average of 35,000 meals annually. All meals are prepared under the guidance of 2 Certified Dietary Managers, Certified Food Protection Professionals. Our department works under high safety and sanitation regulation’s, working closely with our facility Infection Preventionist.
The Nutritional Services department provides meals for hospital patients, care center residents, Adult Day Service participants as well as preparing meals for special functions and meetings. Since we are a smaller facility we have the ability to meet individual food preferences and needs within the scope of the person’s diet.
A Registered Dietitian is retained on a consultant status and visits every two weeks.
