Glen Palokangas, APRN, CRNA, NSPM-C and Chad Johnson, APRN, CRNA, NSPM-COur team of providers bring years of experience and specialized training in both anesthesia (acute pain) and long-term pain solutions. They have treated patients throughout northern Minnesota, including Duluth and Cloquet, and bring that same level of specialty care to our rural communities.

The Pain Management Clinic at Cook Hospital gives you access to the latest, cutting-edge treatments. From epidural steroid injections to peripheral nerve stimulation, we work with each patient to find the most effective option for their unique, individual needs.

The Pain Management Clinic utilizes insurance the same way other specialty services do. Our nurses take care of all prior authorization ahead of time with insurance companies, so you know in advance what your specific treatment will cost.

This can vary greatly, depending on the patient and treatment. We always begin with an initial diagnostic appointment to help us come up with a treatment plan that’s tailored to your individual needs and situation.
