NUTRITIONAL SERVICES
The Nutritional Services Department was completely remodeled in 2000 with much of the remodel being new construction. State of the art equipment was also purchased at that time such as a convection oven and walk-in freezer and refrigerator.
There is twelve dietary staff who serves an average of 52,000 meals annually. All meals are prepared under the guidance of a Certified Dietary Manager and Food Protection Professional. Our department works under high safety and sanitation regulations and is proud to note they have had no State or Federal deficiencies for the past three years.
The Nutritional Services department provides meals for Hospital patients, Nursing Home residents, Adult Day Service participants as well as preparing meals for special functions and meetings. Since we are a smaller facility we have the ability to meet individual food preferences and needs within the scope of the person’s diet.
A Registered Dietitian is retained on a consultant status and visits every two weeks. The dietitian is able to see out-patients for diet education and is actively involved with our Cardiac Rehab department, providing diet education to those clients.
