NURSING HOME - C&NC UNIT

The Cook Hospital has a 28 bed Nursing Home that is attached to the hospital. The Cook Nursing Home offers a home like environment with daily activities, an open breakfast from 8:00 to 9:00 am, a bird aviary, a courtyard that is in bloom 3 of the 4 seasons, a variety of outdoor space as well as indoor visiting areas, and nursing staff that cares for the residents as if they were their own family members.

The Nursing Home offers Physical and Occupational Therapy and has a Restorative Nursing program. Our Restorative Nursing staff works with residents daily to maintain and improve quality of life through individualized programs.
Programs such as exercises and walking as well as self cares are done throughout the day. Some programs are moved outdoors in warm months as weather permits.
Our Restorative staff works closely with Physical and Occupational Therapy to offer programs to improve and maintain function on every level. The Nursing Home also offers a variety of activities with outings 2-3 x a month. Our Dietary Department strives to give the residents a variety of foods and choices.
