Cook C&NC Unit is a 28-bed skilled
nursing facility with 24-hour professional nursing coverage. We offer a full
range of ancillary services such as: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy,
Activities, Social Services, Nutritional Services. These services are designed
to enhance the quality of life and to provide individualized and PERSONAL comprehensive
care for each resident.
The
Cook Hospital is a 14 bed, acute care, Critical Access hospital with
a fully staffed emergency room open 24 hours a day, seven days a week serving
a 2500 square mile region of wilderness and recreational territory.
The emergency staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advance Trauma Life Support with full ancillary support services such as advanced laboratory services, full Imaging including CT, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, Mobile MRI, EKG and an FDA approved Mammography site also being a part of who we are and what we can do.
The employees of Cook Hospital and Nursing Home want our facility to be a safe place for everyone. We encourage patients and residents to become active partners in their health care, to openly communicate with their health care providers and to speak up if they have any concerns or questions.

GOAL - It is our goal to provide high quality, primary healthcare in addition to being the gateway to secondary/tertiary care for inpatient, outpatient and emergency patients without exception.
VALUE - The Board of the Cook-Orr HealthCare District is committed to retain a hospital because of the distance to other health services; bearing in mind our service area encompasses the entire geographic region of the Cook-Orr HealthCare District, wilderness and communities alike. Also, the board recognizes it is in the best interest of the patient, both economically and psychologically, to be in his or her home community for care whenever possible. The board commits its resources and energy to insure that through the Cook Hospital, the best interest of the patient will always be paramount.
VISION - The Cook-Orr Healthcare District's vision is to be a viable/stable healthcare organization, serving the residents, visitors, and a seasonal population within our geographic region. Providing inpatient, outpatient, emergency, wellness and education services acting, as a resource center for primary care and a referral center for tertiary needs. Always striving for the highest quality achievable, while being accountable stewards for all the district's health resources.
